1 15oz can Garbanzo beans (11.5 oz drained)
2 oz Tahini or smooth peanut butter
3 oz Lemon juice (approx 2 med lemons)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
100ml olive oil (increased!)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin (new!)
Notes on ingredients:
Traditionally, you should use tahini instead of peanut butter, but who keeps that in the house?
Peanut butter makes for a slightly different flavor, but not worse or better.
Fresh lemon juice is important here.
Dump everything in the food processor. Blend in pulses until it reaches a coarse puree.
Serve in ramekins with toast or crackers.
Stores well in the fridge.
Note: TJ's Hummus actually contains no Tahini at all - try without?
