Recipe from the kitchens of Google, adapted slightly.
5 oz butter (salted)
2 oz sugar
3 oz brown sugar
1 egg
1 tbs vanilla extract
4.5 oz flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
4 oz oats
8 oz chocolate chips
8 oz dried cherries (preferably sour)
Method:
Preheat oven to 325F.
Cream the butter, sugar and brown sugar together.
Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well.
Combine the flour and baking soda.
Add the oats, cherries and chips to the flour mixture, and mix evenly.
Stir the dry ingredient mix into the wet ingredient mix.
Spoon rounded tablespoon sized portions of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper or Silpat, leaving 2 inch spacing.
Bake for 10 minutes, rotate and bake a further 5 minutes, until golden and "set".
Cool cookies on the baking sheet (cookies will firm up as they cool).
